Brimming with clandestine imagery and enigmatic symbolism, the first music video from atmospheric Italian metallers Metide gives an insightful glimpse into their continuing quest for, in the band’s own words, “introspection and awareness of the cosmic order”. The track in question, ‘Circadiæn (Reprise)’, makes up the second half of their latest EP (mastered by Cult Of Luna‘s Magnus Lindberg), a two-track exploration of the body and the mind, as well as the ephemeral and the infinite. Their labyrinthian song structures seem to harness the group’s pursuit of buried knowledge, hinting at the arcane whilst still producing music that strikes a potent, grounded tone to which we can all relate.
