Video Premiere: Why Patterns – Bone Apple Teeth

Lyric videos have become a handy way for bands to release creative videos that share their passionate, open-hearted lyrics with their listeners, and so it is with the new video from London noise punks Why Patterns, whose new single ‘Bone Apple Teeth’ is blessed with some of the most poignant and poetic words you’ll ever hear. Check it out below and you’ll see what we mean…

In all seriousness though, the single, with its steady build and boisterous crescendo, is a perfect example of the haphazard style concocted by the ensemble, which features members of Warren Schoenbright, Wren and Deleted Narrative, with their upcoming debut LP Regurgitorium having been recorded by Wayne Adams of Petbrick and Big Lad. As the band themselves point out, that style is not subtle, mixing angular drums, discordant bass and harrowing vocals, all of which are used to explore some bleak themes of daily despair and existential paradoxes.

Check out the “lyric video” below and be sure to pre-order the album on Bandcamp, where you can also check out two other streaming tracks right now.

Regurgitorium is out 18th March via Human Worth. Order here.
