Album Premiere: Thårn – Collisions

It took some perseverance for Thårn to finally reach the point they have now, poised ready to release their expansive debut full-length Collisions. The band formed right before the world was plunged into chaos, and before they even played their first show lockdown restrictions began to be enacted around the globe.

Now that it’s finally here, Collisions proves to be well worth the wait. Merging the gritty materiality of devastating sludge metal with the grander, more poignant soundscapes of lush post-metal, the band’s sound makes for an intense experience that feels ethereal whilst also dealing with the existential burden of existence.

Collisions drops in full tomorrow via the ever reliable Trepanation Recordings, who are handling the CD release, and the beautiful folks at Surviving Sounds, who will be responsible for the tape release. Give it a listen below and then pick up your copy!

Collisions is out 12th November on Surviving Sounds (Tape) / Trepanation Recordings (CD).
