Premiere: Ashbringer – Spiritual Architecture

Following two albums with cult Italian label Avantgarde, Minneapolis-based outfit Ashbringer are gearing up to release their latest effort on Prosthetic Records, and it’s an expansive double-album full of atmospheric black metal that’s more concerned with building lush exploratory soundscapes than it is bludgeoning with relentless extremity.

Ahead of the album’s release later this month, we’re excited to offer you the chance to hear standout track ‘Spiritual Architecture’ – a vast, slow-burning number that sets the pace for the rest of the album. Its enveloping atmosphere is truly transcendent, drawing you in with lush tones and poignant keys before allowing the blackened post-metal riffs to emerge slowly from amidst the already rich soundscape.

Absolution is out 28th June on Prosthetic Records. Purchase here.
